 Mumbo Island was honoured to be selected as one of only six finalists in the category "Best Places to Stay (Worldwide)" in TimesOnline's December 2008 Green Spaces competition.
The judge's final comments were as follows........ What's it like? "I really enjoyed this place - it's utterly tranquil, and manages to balance indulgence with informality. I could spend a week here - reading, pottering about in kayaks and playing chess. The island has it's own little cove and the water is sweet and fresh!"
Significant environmental achievement? "An entirely off-grid camp that's almost 100% free from fossil fuels."
